SG550 High Profile Mount Base The Clawgear SG550 High Profile Mount Base was developed as a rugged and precise optics platform for the 55X rifle series. Designed in accordance with NATO STANAG 4694 (Picatinny interface), it allows for secure and repeatable mounting of modern aiming devices or accessories in professional applications. Machined from high-strength 6082 aluminum, the mount offers excellent durability while maintaining a low overall weight. It attaches at two points: the front interface connects to the factory dovetail on the receiver (typically used for a brass catcher), and the rear is secured via an adjustable clamp screw with side locking. The integrated aiming bore allows continued use of the original diopter sight without removing the mount base. Due to it‘s construction in 6082 Aluminum, this rugged and high quality item will serve you in any combat situation.NATO STANAG 4694 RAILThe 13 slot Picatinny Rail allows the user to upgrade his 55X rifle with various aiming devices or accessories.LIGHTWEIGHT CONSTRUCTIONAlthough this mount base has been designed in a lightweight way, its mechanical strength is not being affected.ADJUSTMENT SCREWIt clamps the mount for a solid fit between both attachment points on the receiver and is secured by a clamp screw on the left side.DOVETAIL SLOTThe front attachment point is the dovetail on the receiver which is normally used to fix the brass catcher.CompatibilitySIG550, SIG551, SIG552, SIG553, PE90 and all variants of the rifle with standard adjustable diopter sights.InstallationMake sure your weapon is unloaded and safe. Screw the included adjustment screw fully into the mount base. Put the rail on the upper receiver and slide it forward so the dovetail on the receiver connects smoothly to the front of the rail. Then use a 8mm wrench to unscrew the adjustment screw until it moves inside the hole of the rear sight base. Tighten it up for a solid fit. Use the clamp screw on the left side of the mount base to secure its position.

Not compatible with SKS rifles.Installation: Dismount the existing rear sight and leaf spring. Put the AK RSM into the guidance on the rear sight base and align both holes. Punch the included roll pin into the bore so it is flush with both sides. Insert the big set screw on top into the middle thread on the rail and tighten it until the emergency sight aims to the point of impact. Finally insert both small set screws into the forward threads and tighten them stoutly. Warning: Torque for setscrew max. 3 NM

Take the left half-shell (the one without top rail) and place it on the scope by pushing it over the diagonal fixing screw of the scope. Then push the right half-shell into the corresponding slots on the left part until it clicks in. Make sure that all engagement hooks are snapped in. Place each hexagon nut in the clearance of the right shell and tighten the corresponding screw from the left shell side.
